Fool to yaself girl and tut, tut no soliciting for business!

moo only thing to bear in mind with Abbey [and others inc Halifax] is the very funny NW ads "brand new customers onlee" are aimed at them, so if you do go Abbey you'll probably have to leave [and pay a redemption admin fee] after 2 yrs to get the best rates.

    But it's a bit of a switch from a 10yr fix to a 2yr one anyway isn't it?

thanks guys, i hadn't thought of the moving thing!! we're with nw at the moment so wouldn't have any valuation or legal fees i assume as they did it all two years ago. are you allowed to pm me and let me know which company is offereing the lower deal? as i've looked and cannot find it. thanks

i thought you still had to pay valuation and legal fees again, even if you remortgaged with the same company??

    Hi flea,
A lot, NW for eg, are fee free [legals & valuation] for remortgages anyway, but usually no if you stick with the same lender. You might WANT another valuation if you've improved the prop and want to borrow more than an updated assessment of your previous valuation would allow but there aren't any legals with the same co.
