Would be considering renting out our property and have read from the main siste that some lenders are agreeable to this for with either an increase in the interest rate or a one off fee.
Does anyone know what Ulster Bank do and what sort of criteria they request?

I know of someone who had a ulster bank mortgage and rented his house for 6 months Ulster Bank where ok with it as long as it was only for 6 months.0

I think it's known as an 'agree to let' clause. It usually depends on why you need to let the property out. They're unlikely to entertain the idea if you're using it as a back door by to let mortgage..but you never know these daysTimmay!0

We would be hoping to self build but unlikely to get our current house sold, so would hope to rent it out.0
