Ikea Haggling?

Hi there

I'm off to Ikea later - hoping to get two 2 seater sofas. Just wondered if anyone had been succesful haggling down the price on big purchases in Ikea?

If its been done before I'll have a stab myself.

I never gave it a go to be honest... lol

They are doing 0% on sofas at the moment which won't save you money but you can at least spread the cost.... (well, they were in store when I went just before Xmas, but I can't see a reference to it on their website)

If by chance they have the item you want in Bargain Corner they will often reduce the item further, have done this myself a couple of times.
Sometimes you can get an extra discount by being a Ikea Family member, at the very least you can get a free coffee with it!

I doubt that you'll get anywhere, usually you need to play one store off of another, and Ikea doesn't have a competitor really.
