submitted payments

I recently suspended my course until next year. It would appear that the student loan company did not receive verification of this hence they submitted a payment to my bank account. They have acknowledged my withdrawal now however the submitted payment, which has not reached my account yet, has yet to be cancelled despite the fact my online application "cannot be progressed" according to them. Does this mean that the loan/grant is irreversable at this late stage? Does anyone know how "submitted payments" work? Futhermore, I should add that they have cancelled the potential 3rd installments therefore I'm a little confused as to why the payment has been submitted. I hope you can help clear this up.Thanks.
