Nationwide Overpayments

Hi

I currently have a fixed rate with Nationwide but t & c's allow a monthly overpayment of £500.

I have some cash that I would like to pay into my account, over a few months, to reduce interest payable but will need access to it at some future date.

Has anyone any experience of how easy it is to retrieve overpayments from the Nationwide?

Thanks

Give them a call to find out. My father checked before overpaying, and they said you can borrow the money back at any time.

our annual statement showed our 'Overpayment reserve' so assume it's a matter of contacting them when you need the money and they transfer into account and adjust mortgage amount as and when needed. I was also surprised that the overpayment reserve had transferred over from our previous tracker deal, I thought it may have been lost when we switched to a new deal late last year.
