My local Morrisons, Somerfield and Tesco sell them.
Not too long ago there was a documentary on the TV about the company looking for a family to be the new face of brains faggots. Apparently the winning family would win all sorts of goodies, and be featured in a nation wide campaign to increase the sales of faggot.
I don't remember the advertising campaign, but I do remember the daughter (or a female descendant of the inventor of brains faggots) and her family not winning.
I remember going into Somerfield and buying some at the time, because I had not had faggots since the 60's. Although I remembered liking them, and having great fun with my mates when we had faggots for tea. In those days the word "faggot" had a completely different meaning.
Anyway, I found out the brains faggots I bought at Somerfiled were not the ones my mother fed to me in the 60's.0 -

Maybe we could be the 'face ' of brains fagotts? I could be the granny, sitting in the corner snoozing - until the faggots and peas are ready of course... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
