can i ask question
if i buy 1000 shares at £1, and these shares go up to £10 in 6 months, so they are worth £10.000, and i sell them, do i have to pay any tax on the money

The gain will be subject to capital gains tax.
There is, however, an annual exemption of over £9,000. So, if this was the only disposal you made in the year then there would be no tax to pay.If it’s not important to you, don’t consume it0
