Clerical Medical offer a range of pension products, both current and legacy. The stakeholder pension and most of the legacy contracts will have access to the internal fund range but the personal pension should have access to internal and a range of external funds.
Advice on what you should do is personal to you. What one person would do will vary from another. You may be best in the cautious managed lifestyle or you may prefer to build a sector allocated strategy, asset allocation strategy, high yield strategy or just hit and hope strategy. All of which will vary depending on your risk profile.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Why do you want to switch?
What variation in capital value will you accept during a bad year?
How long to possible retirement?
How much effort do you want to put into managing the investments?
Roughly how much money is involved?
For someone with a long time to retirement and willingness to accept significant value variations for better return the funds you've named look reasonable enough as part of a mixture.0
