Did you by any chance have any luck with this. My daughter wants new machine and has asked me to look for her. I'm going boss eyed looking. Went with her yesterday to several places and as she doesn't see it as an exciting item her lack of enthusiam would win medals. Saw a hotpoint in currys which raised a slight not bad. Was thinking maybe John Lewis, but there is just so many. Wants a 1600 spin definately other than that don't know. Anybody got any ideas on reliable makes or such.
  • I found our 1600 spin used to rip some of our clothes I always put the spin down to 1400 or 1200.
It might be something to consider. I know comet has a bosch one for £228, bargain I thought.
    Hope this helps

I'm looking for a new washer dryer, i have found the Which online guide invaluable. It is £1 for a 30 day trial and they have tested loads of machines. I have found several machines i like the look of and then looked at the Which guides and they have had really poor reviews, definately saved me buying a dud.

I have a John Lewis Washer 1600 spin. Made by AEG with a 3 year warrant, this is the second machin I have had, the last one broken down in year 2 and was past repair so they gave me a voucher to go to John Lewis and buy ANY washer as long as it had similar features as this one.

Yes, a bit more expensive than the norm but well worth it. And free delivery!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!
