My speakers are goodmans and i had a similar answer from goodmans as a previous thread mentioned, i had to deal with Index.
What the people at Index told me was to post the speakers to them, unfortunatly i havent still got the box they came in.
I told them this and explained i had 2 and they are just under 3ft tall, 8 inches wide and 99 inches breadth. Quite heavy.
Still they insisted i was to post them. (as they couldnt advise on me on a registered electrician)
When i asked how i should post them, they told me to ensure they were wrapped and boxed safely and securly so they wouldnt get damaged and take them to the post office.
Yeah right - this was over a month ago and they are still standin in the corner of the room gathering dust.
My 12 month guarentee runs out in march aswell.
Any advice please.~~~~~~~~~~~~:kisses3: "In Raising Your Children;" :kisses3:"Spend Half As Much Money n Twice As Much Time."0 -
Ask for wrapping, pre-paid labels, and a collection date.
If they refuse, bluff it out, stating you've been seeking legal advice.:j0 -
i had all these problems and more when a chainsaw i bought from index broke - it took 7 months to get a total refund - i couldnt contact index as they had shut and the phone number they had left was never answered - their parent company littlewoods were abusive - argos have not took them over just their floor space and stock.....the manufacturer of the chainsaw - power devil - didnt want to know, etc....aaarrghhghg
i wrote to them and got told to post it back to them at my expense.....but i wasnt prepared to do that, so i told them the postoffice wouldnt accept it because it was too bulky - later found out this was the case anyway so it wasnt a lie - they said they would arrange for it to be collected - got picked up about 3 weeks later.....
eventually a cheque came but it was in the wrong name (?) so i had to return it - waited another 3 weeks for final cheque - now sorted!!!
i have thrown all paperwork away now but there is a post somewhere where i gave another reader the address and telephone number i was eventually provided with - i will look through and see if i can find it and post it.....
good luck0 -
