Bankruptcy... Is it to easy?

I have read the thread and the majority is 100% lumping all BRs in one pot.
Even the government thinks they can survive on credit and spend their way out of insolvency (or nr insolvency)
Yes people signed the dotted line on sub-prime mortgages but is it not the lenders the people (multi-millionaire companies we're meant to take advice from) who where trading thin air (short-selling) what about divorce rate going through the roof, marriage is meant to be forever, how do you protect yourself from the fall out without putting suspicion on your marriage in the 1st place, NHS's post code lottery if there is a cure or a treatment out there would you not try and get it for someone you love, abusive relationships......the list goes on.
BR cost money and people who choose to make themselves BR are not all council benefit spongers (this threads words not mine) they are businesses, working families, or people that have just had some really bad luck.
It's not easy and yes we feel disappointment and humiliated (to an extent) but life is for the living and even you leaders, your children, husbands, wives, lovers (come on you know you are or are your lives really that boring?) falling through the same pot holes.
I mean even the high and mighty Mitchaa made a spelling mistake, I feel worthy to be among the 99.99999999999% unflawed
So open your eyes and see the shades of grey.0 -
As a BR - I live in a house which needs new kitchen, new bathroom, new roof, our only car is 10 yrs old, I have two young children to support, I work to support them, my OH works, we never see each other as we are working hard. my debts built up through just trying to keep food in the cupboards, I have no plasma tv, no fancy car or house, no luxury items and just about keep the house warm enough to get through the winter, we had no christmas presents or birthday presents. it is such a struggle even after BR so I can say BR is not easy at all.
It is all very easy for you to sit in judgement with your well paid jobs and warm, comfy houses and well stocked cupboards. experience is the best teacher, I hope none of you ever have to learn the hard way about BR. You never know what is just around the corner.
This thread is beginning to have had its day......it is just descending into slanging matches between people.
Do you know my cupboards are stocked full of premium quality products like domestos, heinz, warburtons etc...
But i pay about 5 quid a week for it all?
Trying couponing at tescos... every little helps.. where theres a will theres a way i say. I bet im more frugal than most people in debt :P... prob why i can save so much money lol.0 -

3mins out of your time, but this video shows you the advantages and importance of modern day engineering...

I would have automatically said the old tank of a volvo would have ploughed right through the smaller lighter car aswell until i viewed the above video. The volvo driver would have been crushed/dead, the renault driver perhaps walks away unscathed.
So old and cheap, not playing devils advocate may have future implications if you are ever involved in a collision. No idea what im trying to prove here, just that new cars (and possible finance) is a sensible option especially for the welfare of your loved ones.
Just my view anyway, you'll probably get the tube everywhere anyway0 -
I have riddle for everyone:
Riddle me this,
How can someone with massive debt teach, preach, or even begin to have any show of confidence about economy in general?
I think you just describe quite a few banks position in that statement.:pThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
I belive the reason everyone doesnt make a business is the risk associated with it.
yes you could lose it all, and apparently did, but if you'd won the benefits would be great, while i feel sorry for you , entering a business is not something for the faint hearted and not for everyone, sorry it didnt work out.
For individuals like you, we arent tarnishing you at all, you tried, you didnt work out etc... but you didnt buy useless tat like teen shoppers for example... thats what we are peed off about.0 -

Again... flawed argument.... im assuming for sake of argument madoff was a bankrupt who made millions.
Again.. taking probability into it madoff = 1 total number of bankruptcy people who didnty make much for themselvea = 100000+?? who knows total value eh?
Your arguments arent very good, you pick 1 example out of a million and expect it to stand up... warped logic matey:money:

Kerry Katona is a bankrupt.
Does anyone think she was reckless with her money?
I see she's still driving around in a £60k car though:think:0
