    Very true FC123.

I personally look at life as a series of hills that need to be walked up, over, down and up again.

I am in the walking across the valley bit at the moment but getting ready to start the walk up.

For those that care i went BR in may 2007, after fighting "the system" that labeled me as epeleptic, for many years.

Since going BR, i am still trying to find that path out of the valley, nearly two years later, it was not a quick fix, it was not an easy way out.

But the only way you critics will understand that is if you lived the last 10 years or so that i have lived, which is not going to happen, so you will never understand.

Believe me i would love to take a large sum of cash of some [STRIKE]MUG[/STRIKE] creditor, and have a bit of fun, have holiday, (the last one we had was 15 years ago in case your wondering), or any other thing you can think of, but i wont, even if i could, because the price is too high, and i dont mean in £ notes.

Just because a small % abuse the system, that suddenly equates to nearly alll are abuseing it.

As fermi said, "comments by people who haven't HAD to go through it. Clueless is not the word" (and that was not aimed at you SingleSue, but your post meant more than you thought;) )
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(

    Oh.. I see.

I have never gone for the a/s/l stuff on the internet, even when it was before the internet. Because tbh I don't think it matters. If you're not planning to meet up, then words and sentiments, glimpses of personality, shared experience or common angles on things seem to matter much more than the old a/s/l which we have to deal with in the real world.

And it's somehow freeing not to have to be 75 or 48, black or white, male or female, tall, short, whatever.

Actually I didn't Broken Hearted, I ended up a complete mess and being threatened with being sectioned.

We didn't go bankrupt but we should have done for our health...it was our pride and not us coping which stopped us.

I know I give an impression of coping on here but in reality, I barely cope on a day to day basis, I very often feel I am one step away from the abyss ..but then that is another story for another day.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

  • You did otherwise you wouldn't be here. Want to hear about my life and my age makes most people sob stories look like a walk in the park. Yet I cope because no-one else is going to do it for me.

Anyway, this thread is not about my story or ability to cope but those who have had to go bankrupt for whatever reason.
