Hi Claire I did 2 for christmas, one for OH which I just put in a massive box so it looked decieving as he thought it was a massive present and then one for my BIL

    In OH's I included
    1 x balti mix
    1 x bag of sweets
3 x bottles of real ale
    1 x bag of popcorn
    1 x bag of sensations
1 x bag of japanese rice crackers
    1 x tube of twiglets

We had a great night sitting watching the film with all the goodies in there

In Sainsburys at the min they have the tubes of twiglets and mini chedders and also the cheesey bites and hula hoops reduced to clear as they are christmassy they are 65p a tube.

In my BIL's I did a kiddies dvd, a box of popcorn, 2 x cans of pop for the kids, 2 x cans of lager for BIL, 2 x BIL for SIL (even though she has now left him!) bag of sweets and a bag of crisps. I have included a pic below.

  • Hi
I did a 'Have a nice night in' box for each of my kids a couple of years back.
I put in a DVD quiz, popcorn, malteasers, doritoes & dip. The boxes were very well received & all the kids took it in turns to host a quiz night for their siblings.
I have also done them with films instead of a quiz, I choose really old cheesy films that they had loved when they were younger.

If you arent sure about the dvd you could always put in vouchers or money to buy a dvd. Blockbusters sell vouchers so could be an idea. Chocs, drink, popcorn anything like that would be well received i'm sure :D

  • Hi

I did one a couple of years ago for my mam and dad, mine contained DVD(gladiator) sweets, popcorn, miniture bottles of brandy in brandy glass, thorntons chocolates and a pair of slippers each. I also printed a little booklet which they found quite funny. It said "The perfect night in" on the front cover and each page had instructions/explanation about each item in the basket, it said things like,

    DVD

Place DVD in DVD player and press play.

Please ensure everyone has been to the toilet as we will not be held responsible for arguments which are a result of the DVD being paused.

    Thorntons Chocolates

Open chocolate and place on table to eat.

No blame can be accepted for any fights which break out over the last chocolate or any injuries that occur

I can't remember exactly but it was that sort of thing:D
