Pre paid mastercard

Hi Guys, just got myself a shiny new Virgin pre-paid mastercard. has anyone experienced problems using these? I know they are excepted everywhere, just that I have had not a " working " mastercard for a few years, kinda scares me even though its pre paid. Get a vision of someone holding it up to the light and saying Mmmmm not sure wether we except these. Daft aint it!

I don't use mine often but as long as you have money on them they do work.

  • I have one and it has worked fine everytime i have needed to use it. It's good in that you can't spend what you don't have. It won't allow you to go into the red. Downsides are it costs 3% of your purchase cost to use but as we load it at the Post Office at least we are not paying to put money on the card.
Have found that payments onto the card are not instantly acknowledged you have to wait two or three days for it to show as credit. So you have to preplan your purchases a little bit.
