Not much there that interests me:/

Do the vouchers only last for that day as the bread on the Thursday is the only thing i would buy the paper for but won't be going there on that day.

you can only use them on the day they are printed in the paper.

I think you get money off your shopping.

Well that's not how it worked out for me today. No tomato soup in our Morrisons, so asked at the till if I could still use the coupon or pick a different flavour. After consulting with a manager-type person, not only did they refuse the soup token but wouldn't let me use the parsnip one either as it was part of the same deal. What really annoyed me though was how rude the staff were towards me just for asking.

I wouldn't be surprised if Morrisons deliberately take these items of the shelves as apparently they didn't have they didn't have the kitchen cleaner on Monday either.

Our store has had plenty of stock each day for each offer, it just depends how popular it has been in the store you went to i suppose, it is not in morrisons interests to mess customers about, i am sure they get some money back from the suppliers anyway, so i should not think they are missing out on much by doing this promotion, i am suprised though they would not let you use the voucher to pay towards other goods you purchased, as this is the remit all stores have, if they do not have the product in stock, then they should use the voucher to pay for other goods you purchase, HTH Dave

My store had no stock and would not allow the vouchers to be used against my other purchases either. I spent about £47 and to add insult to injury got overcharged as well. (this is a regular occurrence in my local Morrisons)

But did they deduct the voucher amount from your shopping ?

If they run out I read somewhere that its part of the offer that they would.

That is what should happen, if they did not, they should go in, and complain to customer services, it may well be only 50p, but 50p is 50p, Dave

I think this was just wishful thinking of someone who was guessing.

The original advert in the Mirror never indicated this.
The coupons themselves do NOT say this.
Indeed they do state "Subject to availability whilst stocks last" and they will not accept this "coupon against any other product".

Morrisons webpage for this offer has these T&Cs
    Terms and Conditions
    1. Coupon can only be used to claim product specified and is only valid for one day only - see coupon.
    2. Only one coupon may be used against each item purchased and only one coupon can be used per customer.
    3. Subject to availability whilst stocks last.
    4. Photocopied or damaged coupons will not be accepted.
    5. Coupons can not be exchanged for cash.

As for denvore's experience, if the Tomato soup had all gone then the coupon became worthless (unless she had a very friendly and accomodating store CS/manager that was willing to "bend" the rules on their own authority as a gesture of goodwill) however this did not stop the use of the other coupon for the parsnips.

It is not a combined offer on 2 products each day, there are 2 coupons, 1 for each product, each with its own T&Cs, barcode and a dotted "cutting line" that makes them individual coupons, and the customer obviously has the choice just to redeem one of them.

As for stock in my local store - NO ISSUES.
Plenty of everything on the 4 of the 5 days I've been (didn't want the Beans & Apples on Tuesday) and to make it really worthwhile I redeemed 2 sets of coupons each day, except Monday where the £3.60 Ozkleen and Baking Spuds offer made it worth going through different tills 4 times.

If any day would have had stock problems I'd have said the Monday and Ozkleen would have been it, but plenty left at mine only minutes before closing.

  • My partner works at Morrisons and has just confirmed with me that if the stock has run out then the vouchers can be used against your shopping. eg: the price of the tomato soup is taken off your shopping bill
