Ive found some lovely recipes for muffins, but i only have cake tins, not muffin tins. Will that make a big difference, or should i go out and buy a muffin tray?

Without the muffin tins they are just cakes .. you cant get enough mixture in the tins. Check out the charity shops .. !I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

no need!
I just made the banana muffin recipe (posted on here few days ago) in 24 fairy bun cases, instead 12 muffin cases. Just makes the mix go a lot further, and cooks quicker.
perhaps muffins are an example of American super-sizing?
