You need to keep yourself focussed on the debt free goal. My OH wasn't really that interested until he realised with a bit of graft he could get to go to Montreal and get the new glasses he needs (well, the lenses he needs, and the frames he desperately wants). It was just that nothing was going on credit any more so we had to pay stuff off first. What do you REALLY want? put a picture where you can see it, and every time you pay off a debt look at it and think "soon enough I'll be debt free and then I can get that WITH MY OWN MONEY - without interest rates, depressing post and the fear that you might not be able to keep it because someone else paid.
