New jobs and self cert mortgages

My husband and I are currently looking to buy a a house, the problem is that he has been in his job for only 7 months he earns 27k and the house we want is 180k we are going to put in a lower offer though. I could also include my income but I am self employed (since april) and have earnt around 12k since april. have we got any hope of getting a mortgage?

If you don't have accounts you will struggle to have your income taken into account when the banks are determining how much you can borrow so you would need a hefty deposit to buy a 180k house on 27k a year - 40% at least.

How much deposit have you got? Also is the 12k net profit?
