Hi stickysituation
Your child benefit does not form part of an ipa. Re your sisters car I don't know whether or not your OR should allow it or not, someone more experienced than me can help you with that but I think what you spend your surplus money on is surely up to you so using it on transport won't be a problem.
Fingers crossed you don't get an ipa - i'm hoping for the same xxI cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!

ps I see what you mean re the child benefit. Is it paid to you? My husbands details aren't on my claim so only listing it on my SOA xI cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!

Well my understanding is you won't get an ipa then unless your income changes before discharge :-)I cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!

If the OR disallows the car then you will have to make a claim for travel for public transport
. You can then use this towards the car
