Chutney in a Tefal Jam Maker?

At least a month is good for letting it mature, but a fortnight is more realistic in our house! It's fine to eat a jar straight away, well perhaps not the whole jar on it's own lol! Just won't have developed it's flavours quite as well. Just remember to keep it in the fridge once it's been opened.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

thanks for that. i've made 9 massive jars. wasn't expecting that. had to stop production line half way through and go and find some more jar's. I'll label them up later and then stick them in the cupbaord understairs to mature i'll be happy to wait a month. Was gonna pickle some more eggs later so they can go under there also. THink hubby will need to put couple more shelfs up in there this weekend, lol.0

I'm about to try the Onion Confit recipe for the first time in my Tefal Jam Maker, having only made jams previously.
Has anyone who has a jam maker who has made both jams and chutney/confit noticed any tainting issues with the stirrer having made confit or chutneys and then making jams again????
Does the P6 cleaning program clean the stirrer adequately to get rid of the smell of onions?0 -
Could you not get an extra paddle from tefal and then use one for jam and one for chutney????? Just a thought.
Anyone made green chutney in theirs OH tells me we are going to have a lot of green tomatos shortly.
I have just sent an enquiry to Tefal as I could not find anything on the web site regarding spares for the jam maker. Will keep you posted when I get a reply. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
