thank you

Apologies if I'm going off post here but OH and I are on holiday this week because we couldn't get any time off during festive season. Back to work on Monday. Can I just take a moment to thank everyone who contributes to the MSE forums (esp this one) for finding the time to not only share their experiences but also give so freely of their expertise. I'm struggling to begin to understand how pensions work and without naming names people recently have been fantastic with regard to giving to me in this regard. Where else might you get people willing to give up their time to help others so freely? On other fora on MSE recently I've noticed that there's been a hint of nostalgia for decades gone by (understandably and admitted by posters due to the present social and economic circumstances). However, history tells us that bad times will always come and go so let's be thankful that we can tackle things as as we do presently (as an empowered e-community) rather than the way our parents and grandparents were forced to do: put up or shut up.
Let's be all we can be in 2009
ps Just watched "No Country for Old Men" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Doesn't matter what country you're in or whether you're young or old.Things always come and go. Make the best of what you're presented with.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
