in Cutting tax
My taxable profits are £13,813.79 but when I calculate my self assessment tax it is working out my NIC Class 4 calcs to be £2880. How can this be? At 8% I get the amount to be £670 taking into consideration the starting allowance of £5435. Please can someone help?

I would call the HMRC self assessment helpline if you are sure the figures are correct......Are you are sure the £2880 isn't Income Tax + Class 4 NIC as a guess it is very close.0
