Personally I wouldn't rent a TV. We did in the 70's, but saved and bought a second hand one. We then kept putting the rental money away each week and eventually bought a new one.
It will depend on your circumstances as to what you need, but you could try getting one on freecycle, or advertise in your local free ads wanted. Someone may be glad if you turn up and take their old TV away for them.
Only good for single people, IMO, but TV cards for computers are cheap. You can even get a usb TV tuner on ebay for 10 - £15. I would only use these if you have a rooftop Ariel or have good reception.
If you can do any of the above, then decide what you would be paying to rent a TV and put that amount away each month. One day you will have enough money to buy a brand new TV of your own.0 -
YOu can get a decent sized tv on ebay for less than a months rental and as the previous poster says save up for a new tv that will belong to you.The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.
