I was traveling on Midland Mainline from London to East Midlands last night and my boyfriend went to get some tea for us. And, surprise surprise, he was told that tea and coffee are always complementary on all Midlands mainline services!!!! I am sure we used to pay before for it, maybe it is a new policy.
If anyone else knows this is how it is supposed to be, let us all know!!!!

It has always been free on Midland Mainline (i.e. since Midland Mainline took over the privatised franchise from BR)... it's just a shame other train companies don't take their lead!0

They really should offer other drinks too though. Some people (albeit a minority) don't drink tea or coffee.0

Perhaps they offer free hot drinks so save on heating the trains??
