Washing machine Repair - North Belfast

Hi folks,

I've been stopping in to browse this forum every now and then, the oil thread is very useful.

I was wondering if anybody would know who to contact about having a dodgey washing machine looked at. The timer seems to have gone, when I put a cycle on a need to manually move the settings until the wash finishes.

I'd rather not buy a new machine.

Any tips or contacts?

a guy called Ben has works for himself. He calls the outfit Domestic machine Services. I think he is in the phone book.or you could pm me for his number.
He is a really genuine sort of bloke and i have used him many times for dishwasher, oven. and washing machine repairs.
In fact the last time I saw him he told me I was spending so much on dishwasher repairs that I should buy a new one!
I did as by that stage we were practically swapping Christmas cards!

Our washing machine has been playing up lately. The setting dial keeps turning and not really catching a cycle. So goodness knows what temperature the clothes are being washed at - if at all lol

Is it worthwhile getting someone out to look at it? Is a beko one, about 3 years old at most, think it was about £200 when we bought it.

Not sure what to do, H said about getting a new one as he is concerned about spending £ to get fixed and it goes again then need a new one.

    Oh what to do?

  • Sorry to hihjack the thread Jaime-V. My machine is leaking and I think it's the door seal. Anyone know someone who won't charge me a fortune to replace it? Machine is only about 18 months old and has given trouble from the off as has the dishwasher I bought around the same time. I will never buy Indesit again.

Not sure where you guys are from, but I have the number of a good washing machine repair man in Carrickfergus. If anyone is interested let me know. Must have been using him for over 20 years, doesn't charge the earth and lets you know if machine is worth repairing first. Comes out at short notice too.

This place is good for advice and repairmen. I am not sure if the search function will work in Belfast though.
