in Cutting tax
My last employer went insolvent and stopped paying our wages in may '08.
I recently received a settlement for wages due but this was taxed at basic rate and I was advised to contact the tax office.
They have sent me a form (P50) to fill out. However, I have since got a new job so the money I am reclaiming is not from my last employer and I was not provided with a P45 from the insolvent one.
I do not know how to fill out the form now, I was charged over £600 in tax (excluding national insurance) so would really like to get as much as possible back as soon as possible.
I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense! Any help would be much appreciated

You need to send this document to your tax office with a covering letter explaining the situation. Ask them to advise your new employer of the pay and tax deducted this year and your new employer will refund any tax overpaid.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
