Nutrasea HP "High Potency" 2000mg of Omega 3 was the product he bought for £25.98 for 200mls I personally think he would have had exactly the same result had he used OJ Omega 3 Juice ! Recent studies have pointed to the effect of fish oils on improved brain and eye function. Omega 3, sourced from fish oils contains the essential fatty acids in the form of EPA and DHA which are required for normal brain function. We now offer you Omega 3 fish oils combined with Juice to give you a daily dosage of Omega 3 in a palatable 5ml teaspoon liquid, more convenient than taking 4 capsules per day, particularly useful for children. DHA content is 600mg and the EPA is 900mg per 5ml dosage. ! 360ml
5.95
I appreciate that the MOREPA 1 serving provides1500mg of natural Omega 3 EPA & 500mg of Omega 3 DHA, 300mg of other Omega 3s. 200mg of Omega 6. but this costs 65p a serving.
If you use slighltly more than one teaspoon of the Zipvit product it would provide the same amount of OMEGA3 efa's for about 12p a serving.
As the ZIPVIT product is more or less the same proportion of EPA/DHA that is found in oily fish there has been less messing about done to it. To take out and throw away the DHA is pointless as the body makes DHA out of EPA so by reducing the amount of DHA and boosting the ratio of EPA seems perverse to me. Paying five times the price for an inferior product seems pointless to me.
1. I was merely reporting what I and a friend do, and saying how successful we had found it. I am in no way trying to suggest anyone takes a particular product. As intelligent consumers I am sure we are all quite capable of working out for ourselves what is most appropriate for each one of us.
2. No, the product we take is not 'Nutrasea HP High Potency'. It's Morepa, as I said.
3. There is considerable concern about the effects of eating deep sea fish due to the fact that it contains toxins such as heavy metals, ingested by the fish. Therefore my choice was to take a highly purified form of fish!oils. Yes, they probably do cost more than the product you seem to be endorsing, but personally I think it's worth it to avoid the possible health risk that may be posed by a less well refined product.
4. I posted as I did in good faith, hoping to help the original poster. I don't appreciate this sort of attack.0 -
Thanks for all the advice guys. Looks like Im going to look at the fish oil/omega 3. I tried the Glucosamine Sulphate for a few months and didnt get any results - just dire wind
Am I right in thinking the omega three is the good stuff that you need to increase when your cholestrol is on the high side? Mines not too high - 5.4.
I do try to keep to a healthy diet, no added salt, organic when I can, fresh most days with very few processed food stuffs, wholemeal and wholewheat etc,and I walk miles every day with the dog but Im afraid my coffee intake is very high - maybe 5 mugs of double strength a day
The T.E.N.S machine is also something Im willing to look at (sister got through three labours with one).
Just as a matter of interest has anyone had any results from magnets?0 -

this works out at 31.65p daily for 668mg omega 3. However you would need to take two of these to get an amount comparable with one teaspoon of Omega Juice or Nutrasea so it would cost 63p for a slightly lower amount.nightsong wrote:3. I am concerned by copywriters who overstate the relative purity of their products without providing any independently obtained comparisons. We recently had a wonderful example of a copywriter's boasts, which had no really believable substance behind them when it came to independent research. For many of the vitamins and supplements we see what appear to be exactly similar products selling for vastly different prices. In the same way that biscuit, crisp manufacturers sell the same product under different names for different prices I suspect that many of the fish oil capsules, the vitamin pills and the Glucosamine/chondroitin type tablets are actually manufactured in the same factory and packaged by different sellers in their own packaging but with different mark ups. As this is a site for moneysavers I am very concerned that unsubstantiated claims are made for products by their marketing departments which imply that other products must be dangerous as they cannot meet the same levels of purity. This is simply Knocking copy and results in poorer people being put off buying value for money products which surpass every known UK safety margin. If a product is safe and healthy according to all known research it seems wrong that other manufacturers can cast such aspersions without providing any back up for their fabricated claims.

My doctor at the homeopathic hospital prescribed me a herbal remedy which was made up by culpeper and I had to pay for. God knows what's in it tastes vile but has really helped!!!!:THere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.
