Its true! I do! Makes up for not getting early discharge!
For those that don't know, I went BR in Feb 08 and looks like I have to go the whole 12 months (no assets and no IPA/income though). When I went BR, I had a Natwest Step account. At the time, Natwest were closing even basic accounts with BRs.
Now, I know my OR told Natwest about me and my bankruptcy, but they never closed my account. They never even wrote about it at all.
I applied for an online e-saver account last week - and its gone through. I have received the paperwork today and as of today I can access the zero balance online too! Due to the "credit crunch" the interest rate is naff, but its a better rate than my mattress can offer.
So, do you think they haven't credit checked because I am already a customer? And perhaps they did nothing with the ORs notification about my BR, so don;t know about it??
Whatever. I have a real savings account! Fancy that! A BR with a savings account!!! :rotfl:From a real bank too!:rotfl:
