Hi,
Its my little boys 5th birthday next month and he has decided he would like Power Rangers. We have thought long and hard and decided he can have some. BUT where do I start, Which are bad, Which are good. Whats the difference between Ordinary and Jungle fury.
If anyone can let me know which are the best and won't get the typical 5 year old response of 'these asren't the right ones' I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Are you buying them as a present for a birthday/easter? or are you just buying them for him so that he has some? If it is the latter then you could always take him out to somewhere like toys r us and let him choose a couple? If they are for birthdays you could tell him to make a list of things and write down the names of the ones he wants? they normally have some kind of names on the boxes.
I am afraid I can't be of anymore help as when I was younger they had a red, green, blue and yellow power ranger and that was it!!! ... now I have kids of my own I know they have others added to it but my son doesn't really show an interest in them!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Hi,
They are being given as a present by Grandparents, but could possibly get him to name them, it tends to be his friends say they have them and so he follows on.
I thought that it was as simple as choosing one from four, but them my Mum started looking and passed it to me to decide!0 -
Does he have a favourite colour? maybe that could help you decide?
My sons favourite colour is red so hands down everytime most things we buy have to be red!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Good thinking, Chads tends to be red or green so that could be a good start0

Power Rangers has been on the tv for years and Jungle Fury is the name of the latest series that is out now. (as mother to a 15,12 and 6 year old boys I have seen a few episodes as you can imagine.)
However the basic story in each is that there are red, green ,blue, yellow, also now Black good Power Rangers who defeat the enemy.
My boys have always just been bought the basic figures (depending on colour preference) from a toy store.) For some reason we have never bought them the baddies, and I have rarely seen them for sale.
Noticed these on offer at the moment at John Lewis - think they have a few more features than the basic figures. However all you need to get is the basic figures and kids wouldn't have a clue whether it is Jungle Fury etc.

Thanks Bluenose 1.
Will check out John Lewis. I suppose I had better get used to working out whats best when given minimal information :rotfl:0 -
Yep, if you google or wikipedia power rangers you will find that there have been many series with different storylines about different power rangers. Of the top of my head - mighty morphin (on tv when i was a kid), dino thunder, operation overdrive, wild force, SPD and the latest on tv now is Jungle Fury. They have different themes ie Dino thunder is obv dino themed whereas SPD is space patrol. Which does your son watch on tv? Just ask him which kid of power rangers - if he doesnt know then he's obv not going to be that bothered. They all look pretty similar anyway - although my 4 year old can tell the difference.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Was in Tesco yesterday and noticed they had some statinary bits reduced - there were sticker sheets at 70p, a pencil case and an art set type thing but can't remember how much they were.
Just in case you have to do party bags
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
