in Cutting tax
my partner is a self employed childminder,she recently bought herself a laptop,she uses it for both personal and business use,doing invoices and other childminding paperwork,would she be able to claim any of the cost of the laptop as a business expense?

No, but she would be able to claim capital allowances, restricted by the amount of private use. I thought the National Childminding Assn gave advice on this sort of thing?£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
