Personally, my favourite threads are the ones in the wrong place, as they're usually the most informative.
I tend to only read the grabbit and shop but don't drop forums, and I love reading the !!!!!ing and slagging off that goes on the minute someone posts in the wrong place.
If everyone was nice, and only posted if they had something constructive to add to the original posting until a mod moves it to the right place, then chances are it would soon disappear. But all the slagging and !!!!!ing just keeps them bumped to the top. Just like my message, oops.0 -

P.S. Shouldnt this thread be in the "Vent, Bent & Heaven Sent" board? :P
:rotfl: :T
No it should actually be in the site rules and discussion board, I know this and I have broken the rule on this occasion because the people who do this on a regular basis dont seem to use the rest of the site and therefore wont see it
I'm sorry it's offended so many people but it's a major bone of contention for alot of users

Wot...ALL of them?????
No wonder you don't have time to read the off topic chatter then. It must be a full time job following every thread here. Even the mods can't keep up that sort of pace.
Yes why's that so hard to believe, I just dont post on all of them but it doesnt mean I dont seek wonderful information from them. I'm online everyday on this site but if you went by my post count you'd think I was still a new user
Also I did volunteer to help the mods, and they do a wonderful job on this site

No ... what is meant is that when posts like that are done then you get people who have never contributed to the board or with very little contribution despite years as a member slagging of genuine contributers.
If you think the OP is rude then how rude are the people who DONT read the rules or IGNORE the rules just because they cant be polite enough to find the correct place for a post. Every year at christmas (and throughout the year) we go through HUNDREDS of total garbage "I want", "where can I get" "Whats the cheapest place to get" threads posted in the wrong place and which the MODS have to spend thier time on reviewing and moving/deleting just because people are being RUDE.
Anyway.. I went through a whole load of this last Chrimbo Im not doing it again.
My last post and look here..
BYE
Sorry but posting the things mentioned by the OP is not rudeness, its ignorance.0 -
Thanks for all your concern I'm very chilled thanks
I wasnt being rude and I very directly asked a very simply request. I dont see why people are unable to read the rules and stick by them
IMHO it's pure laziness by the me me me posters who dont care about anyone else except themselves, and if this thread is clogging the boards, I apologise and really dont mind it being moved
I use all threads in this forum and it seems to be this and the grabit threads are the worst for offences, surely with a really hard forum like this with so many sub forums it can't be that hard to find one that is suitable to post your question in
