Where are all the 48" curtains??

Went out today, to try to find new curtains for three of our bedrooms, all of which are a 48" drop.
Can i find them anywhere.....no!!
Was told in the last place that I went to, that I would have to buy 54" drops and then have them shortened, at a cost!!
Has anyone else found this problem? Or does anyone know where I can buy 48" drop ready made curtains from?

  • i would just buy longer and let them hang longer we have some that are for out 50" drop windows and they are a 79" drop so are to the floor and look fine.

for our patio doors which are an 82" drop i had to buy a 90" drop and then sat and took them up by hand as they were 90" wide each, each one took me 2hrs!! they look nice though
  • Shouldn't this be on the 'i wanna' board?

Maybe you could tuck them in behind the radiators to keep the heat from escaping through the windows, helps to save a bit of money.

Boght some thermal curtain linings from Dunelm Mill this morning, bought the last three 54" drop they had noticed that there were some 48" drop linings so i guess they would have curtains as well.
I'd give them a ring though.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

The only 48" drop curtains I've seen have been linings and voile ones, not the normal heavier curtains.

If you're not good at sewing, or don't have a sewing machine, you could use the iron on hem stuff to shorten any 54" ones.
