HI there,
I bought a set of labtec 5.1 pc speakers about 6 days ago £49.99, but now I see them £10 cheaper in new catalogue. A bit annoying, can anyone think of a plan on how to reclaim the £10? Spoke to one of the argos customer services at one of the 3 stores near me, but he just put it down to hard luck. The speakers are ok but dont have a power on/off switch conveiently placed like I had on old creative brand ones, current labtec have power on/off at back of sub-woofer a real nuisance to turn off at night so I just leave them on. Do you think if I mention this and threaten to leave them back under 16 days satisfaction they might listen and give me a £10 refiund.
Kind regards
joe

I've been told before by a Argos employee if the price drops they can take them back under the 16 day then instantly resell you them at the lower price0

If they are exactly the same, and covered by the 16-day guarantee, then you could just buy a new set, and return them with the old receipt?0

i too would buy the new ones at the cheaper price and then take the new ones back with the old receipt and say they were an unwanted gift. i do this all the time if there is a good saving to be madeJust about to give up!0

Ditto to the above two posts, have done the same thing myself in the past.0

Hi joemardo1,
just had a quick look for you on Argos website and the following might be useful:-
"5. Returns, Cancellations and Substitutions 5.1 We offer a 16 day money back guarantee, please refer to Returns and refunds. Some products are excluded from the Guarantee and are clearly marked by a † next to the product name. In the unlikely event that you receive faulty or damaged goods, please refer to our Returns and Refunds section."

I would just not say that you have already spoken with them and alternative could be to take old ones back and order cheaper online.
Just remember Martin Lewis always says "Never be embarrassed to save money."Andyboy :idea:0
