Ebuyer Total nightmare

I today tried twice to buy a New desktop computer from Ebuyer and the first time (my fault) I had not changed my bank account address to the same as my new address so the order was canceled.
So I phoned the bank went through the secruity checks and changed the address, I then went back online to ebuyer went through the ebuyer halfifax online fraud protection and tried again. then 6 hours later I got an email from ebuyer saying I had to fax a photo copy of my passport or driving license and a utility bill that is over two months old.
this is impossible as I have not been at my new house for more than a month. i phoned up and was waiting for 17 mins in a que to be told that despite my bank being happy with who I am as well as halifaxs online fraud check that i will have to wait 2 months to get a bill before I am allowed to give them my cash. Ebuyer obviously deoesnt want your money. I would understand if my bank had not changed my billing address, but ebuey seems to want the impossible. and now they have put the price up of the computer i want only 3 hours later, whcih makes me think ebuyer had canceled me due to a mistake in the price on the ebuyer website.
i have now spent £5.60 on a 0870 call to be told that my custom isnt welcome with ebuyer. does anyone else have trouble with ebuyer or is it just me?
Ebuyers phone manner is terrible, service terrible, ebuyers online email replys non existant.
AAAARGH
Ps from the look of it people who like ebuyer have never had a problem but people who have had a problem with ebuyer then ebuyer turns into their worst nightmare, so basicly if you think you might have a problem with your purchase from ebuyer, then for petes sake go somewhereelse, ebuyer will not help you, you will waiste money calling ebuyer and they will be unhelpful.
UPDATE:
its now 2.38 and despite ebuyer promsing me a call from an ebuyer rep this morning non has been forthcoming. Terrible service, and I simply cant afford to call ebuyer again as the non 0870 number won't let me talk about any ebuyer web order so basicly you have to give them money to complain about ebuyer.
dont buy from ebuyer if you want customer support.

Don't forget to use http://www.saynoto0870.com to look for alternative cheaper (or sometimes) free numbers to the rip-off 0870 numbers: it does list entries for Ebuyer.
So far, I have to say I've had a pretty decent service from Ebuyer. However their fluctuating prices do annoy me: having spent some time finalising a quite long list of items to buy over the weekend, I was all set to place the order on Monday, but when I returned, the price of two items had inexplicably risen. Well, I'm not having that, so they lost the whole order from me...0 -

Sorry if this Ebuyer forum post is turning into a rant, but I have been back on the phone to ebuyer to wait 23rd in the ebuyer phone line and then the moment i get to no 1 i was hung up on! maybe Ebuyer dont make enough from the ebuyer website but really to treat a potential customer so badly ebuyer must really have to much money.
ARRGh Ebuyer you are driving me nuts0 -

People seem to forget that customer service costs money.
As internet retailers typically offer cheaper-than-highstreet prices through lower operating overheads, it should be no great surprise when you encounter below-par customer service.
If you want good customer service buy on the highstreet, if you want cheap prices buy on the internet.
The trick is to follow the instructions carefully, and never need the customer services in the first place!:T
Regarding ebuyer in particular, i've used them many times and have never had any problems.
Infact, I placed an order for a laptop today @ 11:10am.
Recieved the order confirmation email 3 minutes later.
Payment processed email 7 minutes after that.
and finally the Order dispatched email 75 minutes later.
Given that I opted for free delivery for 'within the next 5 days', the process seems remarkably efficient.
No doubt I will receive the order well within 5 days, probably Mon. or Tues. next week.0
