I know that Asda allow you to use any mone off vouchers against your shopping bill as long as they stock the product, you can only use one of each type of voucher and also it can only be a certain % of your overall bill. But I was wondering if tesco and sainsburys offer the same deal?
Is there a 'better' way to spend these money off vouchers?
Thanks

I went to Tesco armed with a £2 off a catering pack of Nestcafe and an intenet Prima £1 and a 50p Discovery voucher, the last 2 off here. They took them without a quibble! Amazing and I thank you all for encouraging me to do it.This signature is not mine!0

Tescos accept them if they have the products,
I used several today.........£1 off bodyform
30p off pizza
30p off cheese
£1 off hair dye
Sales assistant didnt bat an eyelid, only had a few things in my basket, effectively means I got a reduced jumper ( for hubby) for free and 10p off rest of shopping........
great!
Ive not long started using vouchers off my shopping, couldnt go armed with loads like some people do.... Id be too embarrassed lol
Dont forget Tescos accept sainsburys vouchers aswell, and somerfield too I think!
Think theres some policies where they take a certain percentage of the value of the vouchers depending on how much/how many you have? Think it varies some area to area of the tescos store......... apparently going to the 'younger assistants' on the till helpslol

Tesco...only you can find out what your local store policy is.
Nationally Tesco say they accept 100% in coupons for your shop. Locally the managers can decide to impose a % limit. If your store does this, you can choose to fight it out with Head office.
It also varies from cashier to cashier...my local Tesco one will accept 100%, another only 10%. Depends on how much time I have if I stick around for the supervisor. I always find politeness works a treat "Can you see if any of these come off the bill?" works far better than no comment at all.
Whether a store decides to accept internet coupons is at managers discretion in Tesco.
As an avid Tesco shopper, I truly cannot comment on Sainsburys!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I shop at both ASDA and Tesco's.
I find that either store will take vouchers. Some SA can be a little difficult and take only a percentage or a number of vouchers per transaction. It does seem that it varies.
Definately agree go to a young assistant or even better a young spotty male (16-20), they don't seem to care and I've even known it that they will put through vouchers that they would not normally take. LOL !!!!!!!!
Used £10 of Somerfield vouchers (in the free magazine in store) in both Tesco and Asda this week with no problems.I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it but Atol numbers can be checked on the Civil Aviation Authority website. I shopped at Tescos today, bought 6 packs of Bodyform costing 98p each using 6 vouchers from the previous packs I bought. And 3 pairs of ladies jeans reduced to £2.50 a pair, one newspaper and 3 copies of Real people - total came to £14.50 - I used 6 x £1.00 bodyform vouchers, and lots of other assorted vouchers - total ended up as £5.51.
Best thing was the bodyform had £1 x 6 worth of vouchers on them so in theory I was up 49p at the end of the shop.
I love Tescos !!I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

I use both Tesco and Asda. Never ever went to Asda before, but find now that they are much more friendlier than the Tesco staff.
Both stores I went armed with head office letters, relating to the indivual store in question.
Every time I had trouble in Tesco and held up the queue.
Now when I go to Asda, I go straight to the CS desk and have got to know the supervisors (mostly young Asian guys that think I'm crazy for cutting them all out, rather than realising what I'm saving).
When I've almost finished my shop, I go to CS desk and ask the manager what till I should go through, to save holding up the queue, or arguing with the cashier. Then they buzz through to them.............and Bob's your uncle!
I used £5 odd the other day. Boy it took some time. All fidly 10p's and 15p's.
Ref: to the 'Bodyform' £1 off vouchers. I bought 2 packets today (the only 2 with the voucher left on top), in Superdrug. Because they are only 98p in there, the till wouldn't accept the £1 vouchers.
Supervisor came over and said if I wasn't 'paying' for them she wouldn't sell them to me.
I asked for her manager who came grumpily over. 'There's nothing we can do'. So I asked if they could over-ride the till ................or charge me £1 each, so I could 'buy' them with the vouchers.
They hadn't thought of that and that's what they did. So another 2 free.
They seem to be getting a bit thin on the ground now though
Oh well eyes open for the next latest freebie

how do money off coupons work on the self scanners?
is there a post here about self scanners in tescos?
thanks in advance. :j0 -
Went shopping - no coupons in my purse!! My DH said he threw them all away because none were for stuuf we buy (£1 nappies, 50p cat litter) Altogether about £10!!
I told him what they were for and he thought it very dishonest. Tut. I'll never get him trained.Love living in a village in the country side0 -
There are 2 types of vouchers, ones that come from the product companies (often found in mags etc) and the supermarkets own. The vouchers just need to be scanned and the money comes off automatically so you should be able to use them on the self scanners. With the supermarkets own, you can only use them if you have brought the product. At Tesco though, for other vouchers you can use them even if you have not bought the product but can only use 1. However, if you buy a jar of Nescafe and have 2 Nescafe vouchers, you can use both vouchers (allowed 1 voucher for unbought product). Tesco will accept other supermarkets vouchers as well.0
