  • sophie131 I went at around 11am last year and it was all very civilised. I was expecting it to be manic but it was a very nice atmosphere. :)

I'm actually really nervous about tomorrow!
I plan to get there for opening and get a trolley - I only want 4 items particuarly, but they are bigger than basket size (kids toys), so figured it'd be best to get a trolley!
But - this is what I invisige (sp?) happening -
Getting there and there being 100 people in a queue.
Getting there, going in with a trolley and getting what I want, then find out it's not reduced yet!
Going in and a few people being really nasty and greedy.

This is my first 75% sale, so i'm not sure how people behave - if it's anything like the Lush sale it won't be nice!!

Ditto to everything you've said. It's been posted on HotUKDeals as well, so that means loads of non-Grabbit peeps will be there!!!!

Peeps that may well "Grabbit" when they see anything, not devoted Bootsers who have been gearing up to this for yonks. And what can we do? Nothing. :o

If I hear anyone say "I'm going to use my Blinkie on this, and spend £x on that, so I can have another Blinkie" I shall say "Martin Rules"!! :money:

Dee and I both suffer from Ol' Ladies Feet now, and if anyone steps on our corns we shall have to call it a day! Can't remember feeling as excited since the night before my wedding!!

    :j :j :j
  • I shall go tomorrow when I finish work about 2 pm. I went that time last year and there was plenty to be had and not too manic. I am not finding it so exciting this year as every shop seems to have at least 75% off everything. Desparate times.

    Hi there

I went to the 75% off sale last year on the day it started. I visited 3 different branches and each one had about half a dozen people and a few members of staff looking around. It was quite relaxed - no one was pushing or shoving or anything like that!!!! In fact I have seen it busier on a normal Saturday.

Hope you all get lots of bargains.

These stores were all in Edinburgh by the way.

Don't think I'll be bothering with the store as most of what I want is in stock online, however if I do venture out, do they usually have massive signs everywhere?

The only thing is, I think there are thousands and thousands more people who know about this website, and, therefore, the Boots sale, than there were last year. Partly due to the 'credit crunch' and partly due to Martin Lewis' higher profile. Two or more years ago I seemed to have the pick of everything online for days, whereas even last year things sold out within minutes.
