    Hi

As far as I know the way the law stands on this is that they legally are not obliged to give you a refund. The responsibility lies with the customer to ensure they have chosen the right size, colour etc. Refunds are entirely at the stores discretion. If you had paid by card, your bank statement would show this transaction however, in view of the fact you bought it yesterday you won't get your next bank statement for some time (unless you do internet banking and can print one off to take in). Try returning it with the packaging and use your charm. Good luck.
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

If you had no receipt but curtains were as purchased(no tightning of top string bits etc ) we would have given you gift vouchers or exchange for goods at that store. No chance of cash refund. That was the store i worked in.

And make matching cushion covers with the offcuts :)

Good Luck - I hope you can get an exchange - if they are still in the original packaging, it should be fine.
