I once got bags of stuff I didn't order, on top of my order, I rang and told them because I didn't order the stuff and didn't want to be charged for it either, they just said the delivery driver must have picked up someone else's stuff out of the back of the van and told me to keep the stuff.0

It happened to me once with Tesco, a quick call to them revealed that the delivery truck had broken down and they needed to rearrange delivery. It was a little annoying, but they cannot be blamed for something that is unexpected like a breakdown.
Another time I was a couple of bags short, turns out they had been loaded onto the wrong truck and were delivered later, again a case of human error. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
Thing is you are actually meant to check through it before signing for it. The drivers don't mind waiting, or so ours doesn't.

That is certainly true, but a pain if you have a massive delivery. But checking does help to solve problems because they can immediately make a note on their hand held terminal that items were missing, then they can arrange a refund or redelivery. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
i had the opposite problem happen to me, i got all my shopping fine but got 2 extra bags which had things like...mens and women s deodorant, razors, vitamins, bubble bath,shampoo/conditioner and other bathroom bits as well.I phoned up and they said to keep hold of it someone will come collect the next day. 3 days later no-one came so i phoned back and the girl said i may as well just keep the stuff.

And as a consequence, someone out there was 2 bags short and probably had to go through the process of sorting it out :rolleyes:We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
I've ordered with Asda twice and will never do it again. On both occasions over half of my order was missing, and a lot of the substitutes were rubbish. Then the delivery was mucked up. The first order arrived 1 day late! The second an hour after they stopped delivering.
Naturally I was charged for all the items that I did not receive. I had to fight to get my money refunded including the delivery charges.
Asda may have some bargains on the website but once bitten twice shy as they say. I'll stick to Tesco.0 -

yeah i said this to the woman on the phone, I asked if anyone had reported them missing and then the driver can take it to them...she just said she didn't know. I know it may have been part my fault for not checking but at the time i was a bit rushed and the driver was just about on time as well.
I will also add i stayed in the whole next day waiting for it to be picked up but no one ever came.0 -
well, i'm in the process of recovering from my operation and looking after three babies so i could not possibly check through all the stuff, there were about 50 bags(monthly shop)
also the driver seemed to be in a rush.
i called ASDA back and was told my stuff will be re delivered today between 2-5
fingers crossed x0
