my dad bought me loads of clothing for xmas which arnt really my cup of tea and dont fit,
could i take these clothes back and get a exchange for something a like? (without a lot of hassel?)
thanks.
If they have the tags on, they probably will allow you to exchange them at their current value, so if they went down in the sale, you'd get the value they're sold at now to exchange at.0 -
most retailers now insist that any refund is on the same card it was bought on this is to help cut fraud ie using a cloned card to buy something then having a refund on a different card, where i work the last 4 card numbers are recorded on the invoice and even if you are returning a faulty item the refund MUST go on the same card. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I went to my local Matalan this morning with a snowsuit that was bought for my two month old son as a christmas present. Unfortunately my aunt had bought 6-9 months which will fit him around June/July :rotfl:- hopefully the weather will be a little warmer then. They were quite willing to exchange however as I didnt have the receipt it would be at currently selling price of £3.00. I kept the snowsuit and will try to ebay it instead. Just have to get sorted on ebay now!0

The problem with the matalan refund vouchers is they have no expiry date so their always being reused, so to be honest even if it is tatty, they shoud never question you using it. The refund is alway given however you paid and when it involves a card it is refunded onto the same one, i couldn't tell you why that was, the young girl should of really got a manager in your case, i'm not sure that they would of been able to help you more but if you account was closed what else could you do??
if your wanting to return a christmas present and don't have a reciept they will only give you what it comes up on the till at now so if the person purchased it for full price at £10 and its now £5 in the sale without a reciept thats all they will give, and that will be in vouchers. If your just wanting to simply exchange the same item just different sizes there will be no problem0 -

Matalan are usually pretty good as long as you have the receipt and it is within 28 days.0 -
