I've got a mouth ulcer, about the size of a 20p coin on me tongue, that was caused by a broken tooth. I've made an appointment to sort the tooth, but the ulcer is really getting me down. It has even made me cry
I've tried Bonjela and Rinstead pastelles, but they havent helped. It's agony to drink, eat talk and even swallow, and I wondered if there was owt you can recommed to helpIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

There's not much you can apply topically! Bonjela is slightly astringent so it'll dry the area more.
The only thing you can really do is:
1, Remove the source of the trauma - obviously this will be remedied once the tooth is sorted out
2, keep your mouth as clean as possible - hot salt water mouthrinse is good!
3, try to rest the area so eating gentle things on the other side of your mouth trying not to further traumatize the ulcerated area.
It'll probably be slightly swollen so it will keep getting caught by the broken tooth I'm afraid.

I usually go for v salty water and a cotton bud. Apply directly, scream, wet yourself....and then do it again cos bud has stuck to the little f***er!
But it works:D stay wonky

hot salt water mouthwash is recommended for painful erupting and infected wisdom teeth too.
Literally on the hour - every hour.
