Just wondered if anyone had experience of using "the hair group" who are currently offering the free haircuts, just that I have noticed "the hair group" do alot of free hair cuts with salons in Magazines from time to time.
Are you told its all free? or are there extras you have to pay for like the stylist or blow dry? or are you used as a model or something? -just trying to see if its a con or not! kinda seems too good to be true!
I have used them once before for my local salon.
I had a fabulous haircut, totally for free and they didn't try to bump it up with extras.
I did tip the girl £5 though for doing such a fab jobStopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -

I have had several free hair cuts courtesy of the Hair Group.
No 'catch', but can only use it once every 12 months - if you are totally honest like me and only give your real details;)
Salons sign up to this as a way to hopefully get new customers, therefore you will not get the junior doing the job. The salon is out to impress, so you will come back again and again, and obviously pay next time.
I have been to at least three different salons, and the first was so good I regularly went back and PAID to have my hair done. I have had excellent treatment from them all, and first one especially was very posh. They regularly post me details of offers ( half price colour treatment for example) and on my first visit I got the entire cut FREE, and paid half price for any other treatment you wanted on the day - but they didn't push it at all. Also got a small free gift.
I will definitely be taking advantage of this offer - and I think I have spotted that Herbal Essence are running a free hair cut offer as well.
Must point out that it might be quite a while before you hear from a salon - so make a note of when you applied, and if necessary give The Hair Group a ring to chase them - seems to be them rather than the salons who are slow.
Also, they may say there are no salons in your area - they go on your post code, as they obviously want to only send 'local' people to these salons, as this will increase the likelihood that you will return. But, if you have to phone up to chase, and are prepared to travel, you could always say a salon is near your work, or your mums or whatever.
I think on the web-site it just gives the first half of the post code to give an idea where the salons are.
Also, some of them will not let you have the free haircut on say a Friday or Saturday - suppose they will be busy with 'paying' customers.
Hope that helps0 -
