Not sure if in correct forum so please move accordingly if wrong.
My local Tesco is almost ten miles away and a press release earlier in the week stated that the store will close for 9 months for a rebuild and expansion.
This is due to happen this weekend so i am wondering if the store will sell remaining stock at ridiculous prices or transfer to a near store, this again being a good 7 miles. I am not usually a Tesco shopper so am trying to find out if my journey would be worthwhile. Any help would be gratefully received.

i would have thought that the stuff they have in with really short date codes will get sold off at cheap prices, but the rest that cannot be stored away out the back until the store reopens would just be transffered to other stores, no big problem for them, as they would have 2 or 3 wagons going into the store everyday anyway, so no problem with transferring it, HTH DaveTake every day as it comes!!0

Hi thanks for the reply. There is no way stock can be stored at previous site as the whole building is being demolished and rebuilt. Hence being closed for 9 months as this is the length of time they anticipate needing for the whole rebuild.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j
