Ex-Portman mortgage payment taken early

Hi,
In 2004 I took out a mortgage with Portman Building Society, who were then taken over by Nationwide. I recently received a letter from Nationwide letting me know that my mortgage account would soon be moved to their own computer systems, and they would inform me later if there would be any changes to my payment. I pay my mortgage by direct debit, and the payment is usually taken between the 8th and 10th day of the month. I've just checked my online banking, and found that January's payment was taken today, two days early. Fortunately this didn't cause me a problem this month, but if you have a Portman mortgage it's worth keeping an eye on your current account this month.

Yeah, It can happen and does.
Had early payments before - The odd day or 2 earlier than 'Authorised.
At the end of the day they are the BANK.
So they just do what they WANT.
And they are good at that.
NO WIN SITUATION.Thomson 757 Man0
