Are price reductions supoosed to be the same at all stores, at the same time?

Have seen a jacket at one Tesco store for £60. At another the whole range is £40 in the current sale - the £60 has been crossed out in red pen and now states £40.

Although my size is at the pricier store.

Can one mention that it is cheaper in another of there stores and will they match that price - they can ring and confirm if they have to.

It probably is reduced to £40 but has just not been marked down with red pen. Sometimes the listings for the sales aren't very easy to follow and the descriptions aren't the best. Can you not go into the store and get it scanned? If it's only cheaper in the one store then it could be that it's been clearance money which is store specific, and would only be valid in the store you saw it in, but these type of reductions are usually done with the yellow stickers like in the foods dept.
