Opticians prescription
Comments

On the subject of opticians prescriptions, I took my partner to Specsavers in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, today, got an eye test and ordered new glasses. When I asked for the 'PD' reading or 'P to P' reading, the assistant spoke to the manager who refused to give us the measurement, stated that this is company policy. I know that they have given me the measurement in the past. Are they right to refuse?0

The Data Protection Act and the Access to Medical Records Act means providing you make a written request stating the law, and show them ID they have to show you what is on your records.

I've moved this to Health & Beauty MoneySaving

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

This is true, except your PD is usually only measured when you order glasses, and only comes under Data Protection Act if measured during the eye examination0
