I was looking for a gym to burn off some of the excesses of Christmas, and was pleasantly surprised by how good this one, http://www.cvleisure.com/ which is attached to the local school is.
It's got all the usual cardio & resistance machines which look practically new, showers & lockers all look new too. Compared to other gyms at this time of year its really quiet, no problems getting on the machines at all, and the staff are really nice - very good atmosphere.
I'd expected it only to be open to the public outside school hours, but the fitness suite's open most of the time, except Monday & Friday up to 3pm and between 12 and 3 Tues - Thurs.
Membership's reduced to only £150 for the year if you join in January, and doing this gets you classes for the year at a reduced rate of £1.50 a session. Peanuts compared to the last gym!
