  • Well I managed to 'only' spend £33.43 today. £4 of that was on fizzy drinks and am trying to address that problem. :p

Didn't even really buy that much. Meatwise I only got some chicken breasts (£6.74) and streaky bacon (£0.79). Got a freezer full of stuff so the rest was pretty much fresh stuff.

Is it just me or do Tesco not sell loose potatoes? They only ever seem to have 2.5kg bags and coz I only eat a few a week they end up going all mushy! :undecided

If you have room in the fridge, potatoes will keep for ages without deteriorating.

Just want to report back as promised about how the mozzarella was after being in the freezer on a pizza.

It was fine. Only thing that was different was that it was not quite so "runny" as it is if it is cooked from the fridge rather than from frozen but would certainly do it again.

Love the idea of having HM pizza ready to cook straight from the freezer instead of having to wait until the Pizza Express ones were on offer in the supermarkets. HM are so much better and cheaper too.

    Firstly, I'm sorry. :)

I like cooking stuffed chicken (chicken, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, mozza, wrapped in bacon). Can I make a few at a time and freeze these? If so do I cook them first?

    :)

Oh this sounds lovely, how do you make that?

  • Regarding non stick/teflon pans I have learnt not to put it in the sink and pour cold water on it while its still hot, it makes it blister and when they burst it obviously starts peeling away.
My OH and lovely kids have done this to me twice now! Grrr.
