You'll find it difficult in the present climate. Banks are becoming very wary of lending to people with a bad credit history because they want their money repaid in full and on time; they're short of it themselves! Your best bet is to try your own bank, or failing that an loan through the dealership where you buy the car - but do beware that they often quote flat rate interest rates. You need to insist on knowing the APR.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

There are still a number of car warehouses operating that specialise in providing cars/credit to people with poor histories. Watch out though - whilst the APR's may appear reasonable, the prices of the actual cars are often sky high.

Most 'normal' dealers have a sub prime finance alternative and although the APR may seem a lot higher, if the car is competitively priced in the first place then it could work out to be a better deal.

Its not them that my thread is about, they were really helpful for me but Vauxhall stuffed it up so the sale did not go through in the end... Yeah they took an admin fee but it was not upfront - that was included in the loan and the repayments were still cheaper than with Vauxhall direct.

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
