Not meaning to intentionally fight Hoxton's corner on this, but I'm guessing the reason many people got their e-mails late is that some mail servers will take time to deliver e-mails through. As an example, I often get Martin's e-mail 12 or 24 hours after many others as it goes via my hotmail account which is notoriously slow with it's transit system, but on my work account I get e-mail messages pretty much instantly.

Doesn't help for this promo I guess but for future ones it might be worth signing up using a different e-mail account and trying to see if mail get's to you quicker.
