Hi Wig,
You may get more replies on the I wanna board, but I'll leave your thread here until sometime tomorrow to see if any of the Old Stylers recognise the bowl.
What about trying woolworths to see if they have any cheapish bowls with a lid in the same dimensions?

I'll try that, that's what I mean, if anyone knows a similar bowl with lid on sale today.0 -
Have you tried on ebay? look up kitchen bowls and see what comes up!!

What about these? The first is probably too small and the postage seems bit steep on the second one.
blue glass pyrex dish
large glass dish

Edit This is the sort of thing I was thinking of, but you may not want three.0 -
If you cannot get a replacement lid then use kitchen foil.

what about going to your local market hall (if there is one) and asking on a kitchenware stall thats what i'd do they may sell lids seperately, when i saw the picture of the dish i thought "eee they just dont make em like they used to!!" and i can see why it's important you find a lid, ive bought new dishes but the old ones keep going strong they seem to be better but i dont know why! good luck i hope ive helped you!0

Ahhh another good idea, we have a pretty good market in Pontypridd, the town is famous for the market, but it's not a scratch now on what it was probably like 50 year ago. And I'll be surprised if there isn't a kitchen & stuff stall there. I like your Kaleidoscope too.0

Two more suggestions - ooooo, now grown to 4!
Pyrex dishes again - Tesco's had some really cheap the other day, worth measuring up
For most things, an ordinary dinner plate on top will be almost as good as a lid
I had a very old friend who broke the lid of their slow cooker. They got someone to turn them a wooden one - worked wonderfully! (Or you could get someone taking a pottery class to make you one maybe?)
Some really organised charity shops keep a stock of unmatched lids in the back for people like youEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

I'll move this over to the I wanna board now to see if you get any more replies.:)
